Replacement covers for tents of any brand

When the frame of a tent is still sound but the cover has reached the end of its useful life, replacing just the cover is the sensible solution. At Plastold, in Málaga, Spain, we make replacement covers for tents and marquees of any brand, reproducing the existing fixing system so the new cover goes on exactly like the original.

We work from the measurements you send us, from a drawing or sketch, or from the old cover itself, which we use as a pattern. The result is a made-to-measure cover for your tent, with no last-minute adjustments on site.

What we need to make your replacement cover

Measurements you take yourself, following our reference guide.
A dimensioned drawing or sketch of the structure.
The old cover, sent to us as a pattern for the cut and the position of the reinforcements.

In all three cases we reproduce the current fixing system (keder, eyelets, straps or hooks), so the new cover fits the same profile or rail without any changes to the structure.

What to check before ordering a made-to-measure cover

Keder diameter and position on the side walls, roof panels and gables.
Type and spacing of the eyelets, or whether the cover is fixed with straps or carabiners.
Bay width between frames and the number of roof sections.
Eave and ridge heights, which determine the overall size of the cover.

Materials for replacement covers

We make replacement covers in PVC-coated fabric: 650 g/m² for tents that are used often and put up and taken down regularly, or 850 g/m² for larger spans and permanent or exposed installations. They are available in opaque PVC in several colours, translucent and transparent, with fire class T2 under UNE-EN 15619, UV protection, anti-mould treatment and complete waterproofing.

Replacement covers for hire companies and installers

If you run a fleet of event tents, we regularly work with hire companies and installers and keep the measurements of each structure on file, so future replacement orders are quicker and nothing has to be measured again. We manufacture and sell; we do not hire out tents, so we never compete with your business.

Frequently asked questions

Do you make replacement covers for tents from other manufacturers?

Yes, we work with structures of any brand. What matters is the existing fixing system, so we will ask for measurements, a drawing or the old cover in order to copy it exactly.

Do I need to send you the old cover?

It is not essential, but it helps a great deal as a pattern when the measurements are irregular or the keder has an unusual shape. If you would rather not send it, we can also work from measurements or a dimensioned drawing.

Which fabric weight should I choose for the replacement?

It depends on how the tent is used. For tents that are put up frequently, 650 g/m² is usually enough, while for larger spans or more permanent installations we recommend 850 g/m². We will advise you free of charge when we look at your case.

Can you replace just one panel or gable?

Yes. As well as complete covers, we make single parts when only one damaged panel or gable needs replacing.

How long does it take to make a replacement cover?

The lead time depends on the size of the cover and our workshop's workload at the time, and we confirm it with your quote once we have your measurements. Once the cover leaves our factory, transport across Spain and Europe takes about a week.
