Every street has a different width, length and set of facade fixing points, so the awning is always manufactured to measure from the actual measurements of the section. The result is a set of fabric panels covering the street from facade to facade, with light gaps or overlaps as required by the design.

Fixing and tensioning between facades

The usual system tensions each panel with steel cables attached to anchors fitted on the facades or on auxiliary posts, so the fabric stays taut and free of slack. The exact layout of anchors and cables is defined for each street according to its width and the facade features available. Seasonal removal, cleaning and storage

At the end of the warm season, the panels are usually taken down, cleaned and stored in a dry place until the following year. What fire rating does the street awning fabric have?

The PVC fabric we use carries the European T2 fire rating, with the corresponding certificate supplied with the material, a requirement often asked for in public procurement files.

What colours can the awning be manufactured in?

The opaque fabric is available in white and other colours, so the awning can suit the aesthetics of the streetscape or the criteria set by the council or the shopping street association.

How are street sections measured for the awning?

We take the width and length of each section between facades, the available height and the location of existing or planned fixing points. With these measurements we prepare the quote and the made-to-measure manufacture of each panel.

How is the awning stored during winter?

Once removed, the awning is cleaned, dried completely and stored folded in a covered, dry place, avoiding damp and prolonged contact with the ground, until the next season.
