PVC tent fabrics, made to measure

Plastold has manufactured PVC fabrics for tents and marquees at its workshop in Málaga, Spain, since 1998. We make roofs, side walls, curtains, gable ends and replacement parts for new or existing frames, and we supply tent manufacturers and installers as well as hire companies, local councils and the hospitality trade.

We work with PVC-coated polyester fabric in 650 and 850 g/m², with T2 fire-retardant certificate, UV protection, anti-mould treatment and full waterproofing.

Which fabric does your tent need?

The choice depends on the size of the structure, how long it will stay up and how it will be used.

650 g/m²: the usual choice for event tents, pagodas and side walls. Light, easy to put up and take down, and tough enough for intensive hire use.
850 g/m²: recommended for large-span tents, industrial and storage buildings, permanent installations and sites exposed to wind and sun.

If in doubt, tell us the dimensions and the intended use and we will recommend the right material.

Types of fabric we make

Opaque fabric: roofs and walls in white or other colours, for event tents, warehouses and stages.
Translucent fabric: lets natural light through and reduces the need for lighting during the day.
Clear PVC: windows, panoramic side walls and terrace enclosures.
Stretch: elastic fabric for Bedouin-style tents and free-form installations.

Weight: 650 g/m² and 850 g/m².
Reaction to fire: T2 classification, with certificate.
UV protection and anti-mould treatment.
Waterproof and resistant to oils and grease.
100 m rolls, 2.5 to 3 m wide in opaque fabric and 1.4 to 1.6 m wide in clear PVC.

Replacement covers for any frame

The tent does not have to be ours. We make replacement roofs and walls from the measurements of your frame, from a drawing or from the old cover, using the fixing system you already have. It is the most economical way to extend the life of a tent whose frame is still in good condition.

Frequently asked questions

What does T2 fire-retardant mean?

T2 is the European reaction-to-fire classification for materials that are difficult to ignite. It is the usual requirement for tents open to the public, and we supply the certificate with the material.

Can you make a cover for a tent from another manufacturer?

Yes. We work from your measurements, a drawing or the used cover, and keep the fixing system of your frame.

Do you ship outside Málaga?

Yes, we ship throughout Spain and abroad.

What is the lead time?

It depends on the dimensions and on our workload at the time. As manufacturers we work with short lead times: tell us your date and we will confirm it with the quote.
