The parts of a pagoda tent cover
From a distance it looks like a single piece, but the cover of a pagoda tent (also called a jaima in Spain) is usually made up of several parts. You can order all of them or only the one you need to replace:
Peaked roof: the main piece. It is shaped like a tall, slender pyramid ending in a high peak, which gives the pagoda its distinctive silhouette. It is tensioned over the roof frame and the central pole or crown.
Valance: the band that hangs around the edge of the roof, below the eaves. It hides the joint with the frame and finishes the tent off; it can be straight or scalloped.
Walls or curtains: they close the sides between the legs. They can be fixed walls, walls with a zip door, or curtains that tie back to the sides.
If only the roof is damaged, there is no need to replace the walls, and vice versa. If the new parts will be used alongside older ones, just let us know so we can match the fabric and colour to what you already have.
Common sizes: 3x3, 4x4, 5x5 and 6x6 m
Pagoda tents usually have a square footprint, and the most common sizes are 3x3, 4x4, 5x5 and 6x6 m. But that figure is the nominal size of the frame, not the size of the cover. Two "5x5" pagodas from different manufacturers can have different heights, roof pitches and fixing systems, and a cover made for one will not fit the other properly.
That is why we do not work from a size chart: every cover is made from the actual measurements of your frame. This way the roof sits taut, with no pockets where rainwater can collect, and the valance hangs at the right height.
What to measure on your pagoda tent
Take the measurements with the frame put up and with a tape measure, not from catalogue figures. These are the ones we need:
Base: the width and length between the centres of the corner legs. If the footprint is not perfectly square, measure all four sides.
Eaves height: from the ground to the point where the roof ends and the valance begins, usually the top rail between the legs.
Peak height: from the ground to the highest point of the central pole or crown the roof rests on.
Valance: its depth, and whether you want it straight or scalloped.
Walls: the width and height of each side you want to close, and whether any of them needs a door, and where.
Fixing method: how the cover is attached to the frame: buckle straps, Velcro, ropes, tensioners, hooks or eyelets. If you still have the old cover, a close-up photo of each fixing saves a lot of back and forth.

Which fabric to choose: opaque white, translucent or coloured
We use polyester fabric with a PVC coating, in 650 or 850 g/m². For pagoda tents the usual choices are:
Opaque white: gives shade and privacy, and is the most popular choice for events, weddings and trade fairs.
Translucent white: lets diffused daylight through and, at night with lights inside, makes the whole tent glow from outside.
Coloured: opaque fabric comes in several colours for roofs, valances or walls, useful for fairs, stands or to match an event's branding.
All our fabric has an anti-mould treatment and UV protection, is waterproof and resists oils and greases. If you want walls you can see through, we also work with transparent fabric (crystal PVC).
Fire class T2
Our PVC fabrics are classified T2 under the European standard UNE-EN 15619, tested to EN 14115 by AITEX (reports 2024AN2176 and 2024AN2177). At events, fairs and venues open to the public, organisers and local authorities often ask for this information, so it is worth keeping in mind when you choose a replacement cover, and you can ask for the report together with your quote.

Frequently asked questions
Will a cover fit any brand of pagoda tent?
Yes, as long as it is made to the measurements of your frame. We do not sell standard sizes: each roof is cut and welded for the base, heights and fixing method of your tent.
Can I replace just the roof and keep the walls?
Yes. You can order just the roof, just the valance or only some of the walls. If the other parts will stay in use, tell us their colour and type of fabric so that everything matches.
Do you also make complete pagoda tents?
Yes. As well as replacement covers, we make complete made-to-measure pagoda tents. If the frame is bent or has missing parts, it may be more practical to order a new tent.
Which fabric weight is best for a pagoda?
We work with 650 and 850 g/m² fabric. The 850 g/m² fabric is thicker and copes better with heavy use and frequent set-ups; the 650 g/m² fabric is lighter and easier to handle. We will advise you based on how you plan to use it.
